The Don Luigi Pellegrini Provincial Ethnographical Museum contains a collection that testifies to the centuries-old rural civilization of the Serchio Valley and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Starting from the 60s of the last century, the parish priest Don Luigi Pellegrini began collecting objects that represented the popular and peasant tradition.

The Virtual and Multimedia Museum of Fortresses and Fortifications of the Serchio Valley is located in the historic center of Barga.

Inside the museum, through films and information panels, the visitor can have an immersive and interactive experience to discover the historical events and wonders of the area, between memory and innovation.

The Carnival Museum, housed in the modern structure of the Cittadella del Carnevale in Viareggio, is the largest space in Italy dedicated to this cultural and popular tradition. In this place you can find the hangars where the wagons are built and kept, the tanker's workshops, the Museum and a Historical Documentation Center.

The birthplace of the poet Giosue Carducci is located a few kilometers from Pietrasanta, in the hamlet of Valdicastello, in the valley bathed by the Baccatoio river and squeezed between Monte Lieto and Monte Gabberi.

His father Michele, originally from Pietrasanta, who became the doctor of the Valdicastello mines, moved to the small village of Valdicastello to give medical assistance to the miners and their families.

The Padre Eugenio Barsanti Museum is located on the first floor of Palazzo Panichi, a historic building in the central square of the city of Pietrasanta, built in the 15th century.

The museum collection gathers the personal objects, relics and documents that belonged to Father Eugenio Barsanti who invented, together with Felice Matteucci, the internal combustion engine.

The Pierluigi Gherardi Sketches Museum was born from an idea of Jette Muhlendorph, Danish photographer, journalist and art critic. Around 1980 she collected vast photographic documentation on the tradition of craftsmanship typical of the city at the workshops and foundries of Pietrasanta.

A few years later, in 1984, the Museum of Sketches was founded, based in the sixteenth-century ex-convent of Sant’Agostino.

The Archaeological Museum of the Garfagnana Territory is located inside the thirteenth-century fortress of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, now known as Rocca Ariostesca for having hosted for some years, from 1522 to 1525, the poet and writer Ludovico Ariosto as Governor of the Garfagnana.

Over the centuries, the fortress has been subject to changes and additions. During the Second World War it suffered extensive of damage and its current appearance is due to the subsequent restoration work.

The "Massaciuccoli romana" museum and archaeological area consists of the Guglielmo Lera exhibition pavilion and an area surrounded by greenery where you can find the remains of a Roman villa dating back to the 1st century CE. A fascinating place from which you can also admire the lake of Massaciuccoli and the magnificent sea of Versilia.

The Versilian Archaeological Museum Bruno Antonucci, is located in the municipality of Pietrasanta.

The museum collection is the result of the search for archaeological finds by the Versilian Speleological and Archaeological Group, led by Professor Bruno Antonucci. The artefacts found tell the story of Versilia from Prehistory to the Middle Ages.

The Olimpio Cammelli Museum of the Identity of Alta Garfagnana is set in a wonderful natural setting in the mountains of the Apuan Alps on the hill called "Casa" in the Municipality of Minucciano. The Museum collects a rich collection dedicated to traditional work and crafts of the past.
